1 Minute Recipe | EASY Apple & Gorgonzola Crostata
Ingredients
- Pie crust1
- Apple2
- Sugar3 tbsp
- Thyme1 tsp
- Blue cheese¼ cups
- Egg1
- Honey
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F/220°C. Let the store-bought pie dough come to room temperature while you prepare the filling (about 10 to 15 minutes).
- Peel, quarter and core the apples, then slice them 1/4 inch thin.
- In a bowl, toss the apple slices with the sugar and thyme.
- Roll out the dough on a parchment- or silicone-lined baking sheet. Place the apple mixture in the centre, leaving a 2-inch border. Sprinkle the gorgonzola evenly over the apples.
- Fold the dough edges up and over the filling, gently pleating them.
- Beat 1 egg with 1 tsp cold water and brush the edges of the crostata with it.
- Bake until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling, about 25 minutes. Let it cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then drizzle with honey, slice and serve.
