1 Minute Recipe | Fettuccine Alfredo
Ingredients
- Tagliatelle9 oz
- Butter4 tbsp
- Garlic · finely chopped2 cloves
- Salt½ tsp
- Pepper · plus more for garnish¼ tsp
- Heavy cream1 ¾ cups
- Parmesan cheese · shredded grated1 cup
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine until al dente, following the package directions. Dry pasta can go in first; fresh pasta only needs a few minutes, so start it after the cream is simmering.
- Melt the butter completely in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic, salt and pepper and sauté for about 1 minute, without letting the garlic brown.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir. Bring to a boil, add the parmigiano and stir until melted, then reduce the heat to low.
- Add the hot fettuccine to the skillet straight away and toss until evenly coated. If the sauce is too thick, add pasta water a quarter at a time to loosen it.
- Move to a serving plate and top with more cheese and black pepper to taste.
