Ingredients
- Cheddar cheese · shredded3 cups
- Ground beef1 lb
- Onion · diced1
- Garlic · chopped3 cloves
- Jalapeño chili · seeded diced1
- Taco seasoning1 packet
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Shred the cheese and place it in neat piles on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake for about 8 minutes, until the shreds melt into one disc without over-coloring.
- Let the cheese cool on the sheet for 2 minutes, then lift onto paper towels to blot off grease.
- Drape each disc over a propped-up utensil or a wide bowl or saucepan to form a shell, and let it cool.
- Brown the ground beef over high heat. Make a well in the center, add the onion, jalapeño and garlic, then sprinkle in the taco seasoning and stir. Add water if needed for a saucy filling.
- Hold each cheese shell in place with a fork and fill with the beef mixture and your toppings.
