- Butter3 tbsp
- Milk powder1 ½ cups
- Sugar½ cups
- Pistachio · chopped2 tbsp
- Coconut flake · flakes toasted2 tbsp
- Orange2 tbsp
Instructions
- Line a small-to-medium square baking dish with baking paper.
- In a medium pot over medium-low heat, add the butter and water.
- Sprinkle in the milk powder while stirring.
- Add the sugar and mix until well combined.
- Keep stirring until the sugar has melted and the mixture is well combined.
- Keep stirring as the mixture thickens into a dough, about 8 to 10 minutes.
- When the dough starts to pull away from the sides of the pan, it is ready.
- Take it off the heat straight away so it does not overcook and turn chewy.
- Transfer the mixture to the lined dish and smooth the top.
- Add your chosen flavouring (chopped pistachios, toasted coconut or orange zest) and press down lightly so it sticks but stays visible on top.
- Leave to set for 2 to 5 hours.
- Turn the fudge out of the tin and cut into diamond shapes.
- Serve straight away or store in an airtight container.
