50 Garlic Clove Stuffed Pizza Bagel
Ingredients
- Butter2 sticks
- Garlic · minced50 cloves
- Basil · dried1 tsp
- Saltto taste
- Avocado oil¼ cups
- Cream cheese · softened16 oz
- Bagel6
- Cheese · shredded2 cups
- Pepperoni½ cups
- Marinara sauce · for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment.
- Melt the butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add half the minced garlic and cook until fragrant and softened, about 5 minutes. Off the heat, stir in the dried basil and a small pinch of salt.
- Heat the avocado oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the remaining garlic and cook until golden and crunchy, about 5 minutes, taking care not to burn it. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate and blot off excess oil.
- Combine the crispy garlic with the softened cream cheese until evenly mixed, then transfer to a piping bag and snip off the tip.
- Make 8 cuts halfway into each bagel without cutting through. Remove every other piece. Pipe the garlic cream cheese into the open slots, then repeat with the remaining bagels.
- Dip each bagel into the garlic butter, coating it generously. Place on the prepared sheet and top with shredded cheese and pepperoni.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and toasted.
