Air Fryer Chicken Breast

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Put the chicken breasts in a plastic bag or between two sheets of folded baking parchment.
  2. Gently bash the thickest part of each breast a few times with a rolling pin to even out the thickness, keeping them thick enough to look like breasts rather than thin steaks.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, oregano and sugar.
  4. Sprinkle the seasoning over both sides of the chicken and press it in with your hands so it coats well and sticks.
  5. Drizzle over the oil and toss to coat fully.
  6. Put the chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket, directly on the tray with no liner, leaving space between the pieces. Air fry at 200C/400F for 11-12 minutes, without preheating, turning once halfway through.
  7. Check the chicken is no longer pink in the middle; it should reach an internal temperature of 75C/167F.
