- Black pepper¼ tsp
- Paprika1 tsp
- Garlic powder or use garlic salt · but omit the regular salt½ tsp
- Oregano · dried½ tsp
- Brown sugar1 tsp
- Vegetable oil1 tbsp
Instructions
- Put the chicken breasts in a plastic bag or between two sheets of folded baking parchment.
- Gently bash the thickest part of each breast a few times with a rolling pin, just to even out the thickness without flattening it much.
- Mix the salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, oregano and sugar in a small bowl.
- Rub the seasoning onto both sides of the chicken, pressing it in so it sticks.
- Drizzle over the oil and toss the chicken to coat it fully.
- Place the chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket directly on the tray (no liner), leaving space between the pieces.
- Air fry at 200°C/400°F for 11-12 minutes, without preheating, turning once halfway through.
- It is done when the middle is no longer pink and the internal temperature reaches 75°C/167°F.
