Ingredients
- Milk160 g
- Egg2
- Yeast8 g
- Sugar170 g
- Flour360 g
- Salt1 tsp
- Butter95 g
- Olive oil1 tbsp
- Cinnamon1 tsp
- Chocolate170 g
- Sprinkles50 g
Instructions
- Whisk the milk, egg, egg yolk, yeast and sugar in a mixer bowl until the yeast and sugar dissolve.
- Add the flour, salt and butter and beat with the dough hook on medium speed for 10 to 12 minutes until smooth and pulling away from the bowl sides.
- Oil your hands, shape the dough into a ball, put it in a bowl, cover and let rise at room temperature for 1 to 1½ hours until doubled.
- Cut 10 parchment squares, 10 x 10 cm each, and set them in a baking pan.
- Punch down the dough, roll it on a floured surface to 1 to 1.5 cm thick, then cut out rounds with a 9 cm cutter, dusted with flour. Cut a 2 cm hole in the middle of each, and place each donut on a parchment square. Knead the scraps, re-roll and repeat until you have 10 donuts.
- Cover and let the donuts rise at room temperature for at least 30 minutes until doubled.
- Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F).
- Move the first 4 donuts, on their parchment, to the basket and brush with melted butter. Air-fry 3 minutes until golden.
- Flip the donuts, remove the parchment, brush with a little butter and air-fry another 2 to 3 minutes until golden.
- Repeat with the remaining donuts.
- Mix the sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Brush each donut on both sides with butter, then coat in the cinnamon sugar.
- Dip the donuts in melted chocolate, then in sprinkles, and serve.
