AUTHENTIC TIRAMISU RECIPE | How to Make Tiramisu

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Make fresh coffee and let it cool completely, then pour it into a bowl.
  2. Separate the 2 eggs, put the whites and yolks into separate medium bowls, and add 1 tablespoon of white sugar to each.
  3. Whisk each bowl with a hand mixer until the whites foam well, taking care not to overwhip them.
  4. Divide the mascarpone in two equal parts, adding half to the yolk mixture and half to the egg white mixture.
  5. Fold the mascarpone into the egg white bowl first, using a spatula, then into the yolk bowl.
  6. Dip the savoiardi biscuits a couple at a time into the coffee, holding each for 3 seconds on both sides, and line them up closely in a rectangular dish, breaking pieces to fill gaps.
  7. Spread the yolk mixture over the biscuits with a spatula to cover any gaps.
  8. Dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle grated dark chocolate over it.
  9. Repeat with a second layer of coffee-dipped biscuits, spread with the white mixture, then dust with cocoa and grated chocolate.
  10. Refrigerate overnight, for up to 24 hours, until set.
