Badam Halwa Recipe using Almond flour (Instant pot)

By Swasthi's Recipes · 30 min

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Set the Instant Pot to sauté and melt the ghee in the steel insert.
  2. Stir in the almond flour and sauté for 2 minutes.
  3. Turn off the sauté function, then add the sugar, water (or water and milk) and saffron. Whisk until the sugar fully dissolves.
  4. Close the lid with the steam vent set to sealing. Pressure cook on high for 0 minutes.
  5. When the cooking finishes, quick release the pressure by moving the vent to venting.
  6. The halwa will be runny. Press sauté, add the remaining ghee and stir until thick but still flowing, about 7 to 8 minutes. It should pull away from the sides of the pot.
  7. Turn off the heat once it is still flowing, as it thickens on cooling. Stir in the cardamom powder.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with sliced pistachios if desired.
