Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the milk, egg, sugar, powdered milk and yeast. If using active dry yeast, let it stand 10 minutes first.
  2. Add the flour and salt, mix, then add the butter. Knead until smooth, shape into a ball, and place in an oiled bowl. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  3. Cook the hot dogs as you like, by boiling or frying.
  4. Press the risen dough to release the air. Divide into 10 pieces of 50 grams each, and shape each into a ball. Rest for 15 minutes.
  5. Roll each piece into a log and wrap a hot dog in it. Place on a parchment-lined sheet pan, cover and proof for 45 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 175°C / 350°F for at least 15 minutes.
  7. Beat 1 egg with 1 tablespoon of milk and brush over the buns.
  8. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, until light golden.
  9. Brush the hot buns with melted butter.
