Modo de preparo
- Rinse the rice several times, drain it, then soak it in cold water for 30 minutes.
- Stir the chicken bouillon powder and soy sauce into the 2 cups of water and set aside.
- Cut the beef into bite-sized pieces, add the marinade ingredients and rub gently to coat. Set aside.
- Finely chop the garlic, dice the onion, slice the white and green parts of the green onions separately, slice the shiitake thinly and quarter the button mushrooms.
- Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large nonstick pot over medium-high heat. Sear the beef in a single layer for 1 to 2 minutes until the bottom is golden, then flip and stir-fry 2 more minutes. Remove the beef.
- In the same pot over medium-high heat, add 1 tbsp oil. Sauté the garlic, onion and white green onion parts for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the mushrooms and stir-fry for 3 minutes. Add the drained rice and stir-fry for 1 minute so every grain is coated in oil.
- Pour in the seasoned water and bring to a boil, stirring now and then so nothing sticks to the bottom.
- Once boiling, lower the heat to low. Place the beef on top of the rice, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Turn off the heat, keep the lid on and let it steam for 10 more minutes.
- Add the green parts of the green onions and a pat of butter, then gently fluff and mix everything together. Serve with kimchi.
