BEST ITALIAN GRILLED CHEESE | How to Make Grilled Mozzarella Cheese
Ingredients
- Cheese1
- White truffle oil½ glass
- Prosciutto4–5 slices
- Arugula100 g
- Mozzarella cheese
- Bread
Instructions
- Drizzle a little truffle oil (or EVOO) into a non-stick pan and heat over low-medium.
- Place the scamorza in the centre of the pan until the oil around it starts to sizzle.
- Lift the cheese gently with a spatula and cook the other side. Repeat until both sides are lightly browned.
- Arrange a layer of rocket on a wooden serving board.
- Wrap each prosciutto strip around two fingers, slide them off gently, and stand them around the board like small roses, leaving the centre free.
- Once the scamorza is ready, set it on top of the rocket.
- If using truffle oil, drizzle a little over the top.
- Serve straight away while the cheese is warm and gooey, with a piece of cheese, a prosciutto rose and a portion of rocket on each plate.
