Better-Than-Takeout Beef & Broccoli 🥩🔥 Ready in 30 Mins! #shorts
Ingredients
- Beef1 lb
- Olive oil2 tbsp
- Broccoli1 lb
- Sesame seed2 tsp
- Ginger1 tsp
- Garlic2 tsp
- Soy sauce6 tbsp
- Brown sugar3 tbsp
- Cornstarch1 ½ tbsp
- Black pepper¼ tsp
- Sesame oil2 tbsp
Instructions
- Cook the white rice first so it is ready when the stir-fry is done. Freeze the steak for 30 minutes, then thinly slice it against the grain.
- Combine the sauce ingredients in a bowl and stir well until the sugar dissolves. Set aside.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat with 1 tablespoon of oil. Add the broccoli florets and cook for 4 to 5 minutes, partly covered, stirring often, until bright green and crisp-tender. Remove from the pan. For softer broccoli, add 2 tablespoons of water before covering so it steams.
- Raise the heat to high and add 1 tablespoon of oil. Add the beef in a single layer and cook for 2 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Pull out one piece to check it is done.
- Add the sauce, lower the heat to medium-low and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes, until thickened.
- Add the broccoli and stir to combine. If you want a thinner sauce, stir in 1 to 2 tablespoons of water.
- Serve over white rice.
