Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground beef, grated onion, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper and pul biber thoroughly, preferably with your hands.
  2. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  3. Lay out two phyllo sheets, brushing olive oil between them and on top.
  4. Place a portion of the beef mixture on the dough, form a log, roll tightly and slice into 6 bite-sized pieces. Repeat until all the mixture is used.
  5. Place the kebab slices on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes, until golden and crispy.
  7. To make the tomato sauce, melt the butter in a saucepan, then add olive oil, tomato sauce, tomato paste, salt and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes on medium-low heat.
  8. For the yogurt sauce, mix the yogurt, grated garlic and salt in a bowl, then taste and adjust until salty and garlicky enough.
  9. Arrange the kebabs around a plate, put the garlic yogurt in the centre, drizzle generously with tomato sauce and top with chopped parsley.
