Black Pepper Stir Fried Udon
Ingredients
- Dark soy sauce3 tbsp
- Oyster sauce2 tbsp
- Brown sugar1 ½ tbsp
- Rice wine vinegar1 tbsp
- Vegetable oil1
- Stir fry veggies2 cups
- Udon noodle
- Garlic · minced1–2 cloves
- Black pepper · ground1
Instructions
- Shake all the sauce ingredients together in a jar.
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and add a swish of oil. Add the noodles and enough sauce to coat them. Stir-fry, leaving them undisturbed for a minute or two so they caramelise slightly.
- Add the stir-fry vegetables and pour over a little more sauce (you do not have to use it all). Toss for 2 to 3 minutes until the vegetables are fork-tender and everything is browned and sticky.
- Take off the heat and stir in freshly grated garlic and a generous amount of freshly ground black pepper. Hold back some pepper for children if needed.
