Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Whisk the eggs, milk and vanilla in a wide, shallow bowl.
  2. On a plate, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons of the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until just bubbling.
  4. Dip three bread slices in the egg mixture, turning so both sides are coated.
  5. Place the bread straight into the hot pan and fry 1-2 minutes per side until light brown.
  6. While still in the pan, sprinkle 1 tablespoon of the cinnamon sugar over the toast, flip, sprinkle another tablespoon on the other side, and cook 1 more minute per side until golden brown.
  7. Move the toast to a warm plate, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the pan, and repeat with the remaining bread slices.
  8. Divide the French toast between two plates and sprinkle with the leftover cinnamon sugar.
