Colorful & Fun Layered Fruit Jelly Delight
Ingredientes
- Fruit juice blend1 taza
- Agar-agar · powder3 cdas.
- Sugar½ cdas.
- Food coloring
- Kiwi · sliced2
- Strawberry · chopped¼ tazas
- Mango · chopped¼ tazas
- Fruit juice of choice1 taza
Preparación
- In a medium pot, mix the fruit juice with the gelatin and let it sit for 5 minutes. Heat over medium-low, stirring, until fully dissolved. (For agar-agar, whisk the powder into the juice first, bring to a boil over medium-low, and simmer 1–3 minutes until dissolved.)
- Stir in the sweetener and remove from heat. Stir in food coloring if using.
- While the mixture cools slightly, arrange the kiwi slices in the bottom of a glass dish or mold. Pour in half the warm juice mixture to cover them.
- Scatter the chopped strawberries and mango over the set layer, then pour the rest of the warm mixture on top.
- Chill until set, at least 2 hours for gelatin, or leave at room temperature for 20–30 minutes for agar-agar.
- Make a second batch of juice layer the same way: 1 cup fruit juice with gelatin or agar-agar, dissolved as above.
- Pour the juice layer over the set fruit layer slowly over the back of a spoon to avoid cracking, then let it set again.
- Run a butter knife around the edges, and if needed dip the bottom of the mold in warm water for a few seconds. Place a plate on top and flip to release the jelly.
