- Ground pork500 g
- Breadcrumb1 cup
- Egg1
- Scallion2
- Garlic3
- Sage · ground1 tsp
- Onion powder1 tsp
- Paprika½ tsp
- Thyme · dried¼ tsp
- Salt1 tsp
- Black pepper¾ tsp
- Butter30 g
- Onion2
- Flour3 tbsp
- Beef stock2 cups
- Worcestershire sauce1 tsp
- Dark soy sauce¼–½ tsp

Instructions
- Put the meatball ingredients in a bowl and mix well with your hands.
- Divide into 20 meatballs, about 2 1/2 tbsp each, and roll them smooth.
- Heat the oil in a large non-stick pan on medium-high. Brown the meatballs on 3 to 4 sides, rolling them for about 6 to 7 minutes. Keep the insides raw. Remove them to a tray.
- Melt the butter in the same pan, then turn the heat to high. Add the onion and cook for 3 minutes until soft. Add the garlic and cook 1 more minute.
- Stir in the flour for 1 minute. While stirring, slowly pour in half the stock and keep stirring until the mixture thickens into a paste. Then add the remaining stock, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and dark soy sauce or gravy browner if using. Mix well.
- Return the meatballs to the gravy, bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, turning them occasionally, until the gravy is thin but thickens as it cools.
- Serve the meatballs over mashed potato, topped with parsley if using.
