- Flour2 tbsp
- Mixed herb1 tsp
- Milk1 ½ cups
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Olive oil3 tbsp
- Cream
- Parsley¼ cups
Instructions
- Cook the pasta following the package directions. Drain, then toss with a little oil so it doesn't stick. Set aside.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add one clove of garlic and cook for about a minute until fragrant. Add the mushrooms and sauté 5-10 minutes, until golden brown and softened. Set aside.
- Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in the same pan over medium-high heat. Add the remaining garlic and cook for about a minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the flour and herbes de provence and stir-fry for about a minute to cook out the raw flour taste.
- Add the milk slowly, whisking constantly. Simmer until the sauce thickens, then season with salt and pepper.
- Toss the sauce, pasta and mushrooms together. Add olive oil and water as needed to keep the sauce from getting too thick. Stir in the parsley just before serving.
