Creamy Mustard Sauce | Steak Sauces Ep 2

Creamy Mustard Sauce | Steak Sauces Ep 2

By Chef Jack Ovens · 10 min

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Using the same pan you cooked the steak in, set it over medium-high heat and add the dry white wine. Reduce by half, scraping up the browned bits.
  2. Add the cream and both mustards, stir to combine and bring to a simmer. Taste and adjust the seasoning.
  3. Lower the heat to low and cook for 6-7 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
  4. Take the pan off the heat and serve.
  5. If you have no steak pan: heat 2 tsp olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat, add 1 diced shallot and saute for 4 minutes, then add 2 grated garlic cloves and saute for 1 minute before following the steps above.
