Dad's Famous Ribs Recipe #Shorts
Ingredients
- Baby back rib racks2
- Lard4 tbsp
- Salt4 tsp
- Black pepper · ground4 tsp
- Beef stock2 cups
- Bbq sauce1 cup
Instructions
- Pull the membrane off the bone side of the ribs: cut a small slit on the last bone, grip it with a paper towel and peel it off gently.
- Coat the ribs on all sides with the softened lard so the seasoning sticks.
- Season the ribs generously on all sides with sea salt and black pepper.
- Place the ribs bone side down in a large deep pan (a 400 hotel pan works) and pour in 2 cups of beef stock.
- Cover with foil and bake at 300°F for 2½ hours, or until the meat pulls easily away from the bones.
- Take the ribs out and rest them on a board or sheet tray for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Spray or brush apple cider vinegar over all sides of the ribs.
- Grill bone side up on a hot grill at 450°F to 550°F for 2 to 3 minutes until lightly marked.
- Flip the ribs, brush the top generously with BBQ sauce and grill for 2 to 3 minutes or until marked.
- Turn the ribs once more and grill 1 to 2 minutes to set the sauce, then brush the bottom with more sauce.
- Remove from the grill and serve.
