Dubai Chocolate at home!
Ingredients
- Dark chocolate5 ½ oz
- Filo pastry · shredded frozen4 ½ oz
- Butter7 oz
- Tahini2 tbsp
- Extra virgin olive oil2 tbsp
- Salt
Instructions
- Break the chocolate into pieces and melt half of it in a heatproof bowl, either in the microwave or over a pot of simmering water, stirring now and then, with the bowl not touching the water.
- Pour the melted chocolate into a silicone bar mould and spread it up the sides and evenly across the base, pouring any excess back into the bowl. Freeze for 15 minutes to set.
- While it sets, roughly chop the kataifi.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a skillet over medium heat, add the kataifi and toast it until golden and crunchy, stirring now and then, for about 10 minutes, watching so it does not burn.
- Put the toasted kataifi in a bowl and let it cool slightly, then stir in the pistachio spread, tahini and a pinch of salt until well coated.
- Press the filling into the chocolate mould and level it, then freeze for 15 minutes.
- Melt the remaining chocolate, pour it over the filling and spread it evenly with a spatula, removing any excess. Freeze for 1 hour.
- Unmould the bar carefully and snap it into pieces.
