Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Steep the 2 Earl Grey tea bags in the ¼ cup boiling water, covered, for 2 minutes. Discard the bags.
  2. Stir the 2 teaspoons light brown sugar into the hot tea until dissolved. Chill in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes.
  3. Add the ⅓ cup heavy cream to the cooled tea. Whisk with an electric whisk for about 2 minutes, until thick and creamy. Refrigerate until needed.
  4. Whisk the 3 tablespoons hot water and 2 teaspoons matcha powder in a small bowl for about 2 minutes, until no large bubbles remain.
  5. Fill a 16-ounce mason jar three-quarters full with ice. Stir in the sweetener to taste, then pour in the ½ cup whole milk.
  6. Pour the matcha over the milk, then immediately top to the brim with the Earl Grey cream. Stir and serve at once.
