Instructions
- Dissolve 1 tbsp sugar and 3/4 tsp instant yeast in 180 g water.
- Slowly pour this into 350 g all-purpose flour while stirring.
- Gather the flour into a rough dough with your hands, then knead in 2 tsp vegetable oil until smooth.
- Cover and proof for 1.5 hours or until doubled in size.
- Coarsely blend the roasted sesame seeds and roasted peanuts, then mix with 140 g white sugar and 4 tsp all-purpose flour to make the filling.
- Punch down the dough and knead for 6 minutes or until smooth again.
- Divide the dough into 10 pieces of 50 to 55 g each. Cover and rest for about 10 minutes.

- Place the buns in the steamer with space between them, on parchment paper. Cover and proof for 30 minutes.
- Fill the pot with room-temperature water and bring to high heat, then set the steamer on top. When steam appears, reduce to medium-low and steam for 10 more minutes.
- Turn off the heat and leave the lid closed for at least 5 minutes before opening.
