Easy Cream Cheese Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
- Butter½ cups
- Cream cheese4 oz
- Sugar1 cup
- Egg1
- Vanilla2 tsp
- Flour1 ¾ cups
- Baking powder½ tsp
- Salt½ tsp
Instructions
- Whisk the flour, salt and baking powder together in a medium bowl and set aside.
- With a stand mixer (paddle attachment) or hand mixer, cream the butter and cream cheese. Add the sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla and mix until combined. Scrape down the bowl and mix once more.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix on low until just combined. Scrape the bottom with a spatula, give one final mix, then cover and chill for at least 1 hour.
- Heat the oven to 375°F. Portion roughly two tablespoon-sized pieces and roll into balls. Dampen your hands as needed, since the dough is sticky. Place about 2 inches apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment or a silicone mat. Bake for 10 minutes, or until the edges are set and just turning golden.
