Easy Panna Cotta Recipe
Ingredients
- Gelatin1
- Milk1 cup
- Sugar½ cups
- Vanilla1
- Heavy cream1 ½ cups
- Strawberry · roasted
Instructions
- Put the cold water in a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin evenly over it and set aside to hydrate.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, and vanilla bean seeds or vanilla extract. Heat over medium-low, stirring often.
- When the mixture is hot to the touch (about 140°F), gently whisk in the hydrated gelatin until fully dissolved.
- Stir in the cream, remove from the heat and strain through a fine mesh sieve.
- Divide among six 6-ounce ramekins or small glasses, about 4 ounces each.
- Let cool at room temperature for about 1 hour, then cover each with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
- To unmold, dip the ramekin in hot water for about 3 seconds, run a thin sharp knife around the edge, place a small plate on top and flip. Wiggle the ramekin to release; if it does not come loose, dip in hot water again.
- Serve as desired, for example with roasted strawberries or fresh berries.
