Easy Peach Cobbler Recipe
Ingredients
- Butter7 tbsp
- Peach6
- Brown sugar¼ cups
- Sugar1 cup
- Flour1 cup
- Baking powder2 tsp
- Cinnamon½ tsp
- Salt¼ tsp
- Milk¾ cups
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Put the butter in a few pieces into a 9×13 baking dish and warm it in the oven until melted, about 5 minutes. Set aside.
- Peel the peaches, halve them, remove the pits, and slice into pieces about ¼ inch thick. Put them in a large skillet.
- Sprinkle the brown and granulated sugar over the peaches, stir, and set over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for a few minutes until the sugars dissolve. Remove from heat.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and cinnamon. Pour in the milk and mix until just combined.
- Spread the batter into the baking dish toward the edges without mixing it into the butter.
- Spread the peaches and any liquid evenly over the dish, leaving gaps for the topping to rise through.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, until golden brown and the cobbler springs back when lightly pressed.
