Easy PIZZA DOUGH Recipe For Beginners To Make At Home
Ingredients
- Flour1 kg
- Yeast1
- Salt5 tsp
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Tomato · diced
- Parmesan cheese
- Mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast and salt.
- Add half the water and mix so the flour absorbs it, then add the rest and mix until fully combined.
- Drizzle in at least 4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and keep mixing.
- Seal the bowl airtight with cling film, cover with a damp cloth, and rest at room temperature for 3 to 6 hours.
- Oil your hands, lift the dough out onto an oiled bench, drizzle with a little more oil, and divide into two equal pieces.
- Fold and slap the dough 4 to 5 times until smooth and stretchy, oiling your hands if they get sticky.
- Coat both baking trays generously with oil. Flatten each dough ball slightly and place it in a tray, pressing lightly. Cover tightly and rest for at least 3 hours.
- Stretch the dough from the centre outward with your fingertips, flipping once, until it fills the tray. Drizzle with oil and spread evenly.
- Par-bake in a preheated oven at 230°C / 450°F for 20 minutes.
- Season the tomatoes with a little salt, spread over the par-baked base to the edges, and bake at 230°C / 450°F for 5 minutes.
- Remove, sprinkle with Pecorino Romano, add fresh mozzarella, drizzle with olive oil, and bake again at 230°C / 450°F until the cheese melts and bubbles with golden edges.
