Easy Sesame Crackers Recipe
Ingredients
- Flour360 g
- Salt1 ½ tsp
- Sugar1 ½ tsp
- Garlic powder1 ½ tsp
- Onion powder1 ½ tsp
- Black pepper½ tsp
- Vegetable oil30 g
- Sesame seed5 g
- Scallion · diced2 tbsp
Instructions
- Put the flour, salt, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper in a food processor.
- Turn the processor to medium speed and slowly drizzle in 30 grams of vegetable oil while it runs.
- Switch to low speed, slowly add 140-150 grams of water, then add the sesame seeds and scallion. Keep mixing on low until a rough dough forms.
- Roll the dough into a smooth sheet 1 mm thick, dusting with cornstarch to prevent sticking. You can roll by hand or use a pasta roller.
- Cut the sheet into 3-inch-wide rectangles. Pair two rectangles, fold each pair in half lengthwise, and cut the folded sheets into strips 2/3 inch wide, cutting halfway through the dough with the knife tip.
- Unfold the strips, push one end through the middle opening and pull it out to form a twisted cracker; this is made from two pieces together. Repeat with the rest.
- Heat oil to 360°F and fry the crackers for 4 to 5 minutes, until golden brown.
