Garlic and Black Pepper Beef Skewers
Ingredients
- Beef1 ½ lb
- Soy sauce1 tbsp
- Garlic · paste1 tbsp
- Ginger paste1 tbsp
- Salt1 tsp
- Sugar1 tsp
- Curry · powder1 tsp
- Black pepper · cracked
- Fish sauce
- Rice
Instructions
- Soak wooden skewers for at least 15 minutes, and cut the beef into strips.
- Mix the beef with the other marinade ingredients. Marinate for 30 to 45 minutes if you have time; 5 to 10 minutes also works.
- Thread the beef onto the skewers, scrunching it on. Lay the skewers on a parchment-lined baking sheet and top with freshly cracked black pepper.
- Set an oven rack 4 to 6 inches below the heating element and preheat the broiler on high for a few minutes.
- Broil the beef for 6 minutes until the top surface is caramelized.
- Let the beef rest a few minutes. Brush the golden tops with the pan juices and drizzle with lime juice and fish sauce.
