Garlic Butter Chicken Pasta in 20 minutes! Yes you read that right! Easy Dinner Recipe For Family
Ingredients
- Chicken breast · thinly sliced1 lb
- Salt¼ tsp
- Black pepper½ tsp
- Chicken stock1 tsp
- Garlic powder1 tsp
- Paprika½ tsp
- Thyme½ tsp
- Olive oil3 tbsp
- Spaghetti16 oz
- Butter5 tbsp
- Garlic · peeled minced8 cloves
- Crushed pepper flakes½ tsp
- Parmesan cheese · grated⅔ cups
- Parsley · minced
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water, cook the spaghetti until al dente (about 8 minutes), then set aside 1 cup of the cooking water and drain the pasta.
- Let the chicken sit at room temperature for about an hour before cooking.
- Pat the chicken slices dry. Season both sides with the salt, black pepper, chicken bouillon, garlic powder, thyme and paprika. Rub 1 tablespoon of the olive oil over both sides of each slice.
- Heat the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken 3 minutes per side, until an instant-read thermometer shows 165°F in the thickest part.
- Move the chicken to a large plate and cover it with foil to keep warm.
- In the same skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the garlic and crushed pepper flakes and stir for 30 seconds, taking care not to burn the garlic. Add the black pepper and half of the reserved pasta water, stir, and bring to a light simmer.
- Add the spaghetti and toss well with the sauce. Add the parmesan and toss until evenly distributed. Thin with more pasta water if needed, then add salt to taste.
- Slice the chicken and serve it over the spaghetti, topped with extra parmesan and parsley if you like.
