Garlic Butter Rice
Ingredients
- Butter50–75 g
- Garlic5
- Rice2 cups
- Chicken stock3 cups
- Salt¾ tsp
- Parsley1 tbsp
Instructions
- Melt half the butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. When it foams, add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds, until light golden.
- Add the rice and stir for 30 seconds, until the grains look translucent.
- Add the stock and salt. Turn the heat up to high. Once the liquid starts to bubble, cover and immediately lower the heat to low (or medium-low if your stove runs weak or small).
- Cook for 15 minutes without stirring or lifting the lid.
- Tilt the pan and check that all the liquid has been absorbed. Take it off the heat and rest, still covered, for 10 minutes.
- Fluff the rice, then work in the remaining butter until melted. Stir in the parsley, transfer to a serving dish, sprinkle with extra parsley and serve.
