Grilled T Bone Steak Florentine Style | How to Cook a Florentine Steak - Cooking with Charcoal
Ingredients
- Beef1–2
- Arugula
- Cannellini bean
- Cherry tomato7–8
- Extra virgin olive oil4–5 tbsp
- Balsamic vinegar3–4 tbsp
- White wine vinegar3 tbsp
- Lemon
- Mixed herb
Instructions
- Let the steak come to room temperature before cooking.
- Once the charcoal is at the right heat, place the steak on the grill. Watch it closely; flames wrapping the thick steak are fine as they help it cook through.
- Cook for about 5 minutes, then turn the steak and cook the other side for another 5 minutes.
- Stand the T-bone upright on the charcoal, bone side down so it supports the steak, and cook for 7–10 minutes to cook the meat through.
- Cook until done to your liking; the recipe is medium rare.
- In a salad bowl, combine the rocket, cannellini beans and cherry tomatoes.
- In a small jar, mix 4–5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, 3–4 tablespoons balsamic vinegar, 3 tablespoons white wine vinegar, a pinch of salt and pepper to taste, and a pinch of mixed herbs.
- Squeeze in the juice of half a lemon, seal the jar tightly and shake well.
- Pour the dressing over the salad and toss well.
- Lay a bed of salad on a board, top with the grilled steak and serve.
