Ham and Cheese Omelette
Ingredients
- Egg3
- Salt
- Cream1 tbsp
- Butter · roasted1 tbsp
- Ham · chopped⅓ cups
- Colby jack cheese · shredded⅓–½ cups
- Chive1
- Cherry tomato · roasted
- Toast
Instructions
- Whisk the eggs, salt and cream in a bowl for about 10 seconds until slightly foamy.
- Melt a third of the butter in a 9.5-inch non-stick pan over medium heat until foamy, spread it to coat, then cook the chopped ham for about 90 seconds until warm. Move the ham to a bowl.
- Melt the remaining butter in the pan and swirl it around. Pour in the eggs and leave for 15 seconds until the edges set.
- Stir the eggs with long, slow strokes, letting raw egg run onto the base, for about 30 seconds more, until partly cooked but still spreadable and not runny.
- Spread the eggs evenly across the pan. Cover one half with the cheese, then the ham. Cook until nearly set but still shiny on top.
- Loosen the bare side and fold the omelette over with two spatulas. Leave it 30 seconds more to melt the cheese and finish cooking inside.
- Slide or flip onto a plate and serve, topped with chives if you like.
