Healthy Caveman Energy Bars Recipe with Turkey
Ingredients
- Turkey160 g
- Almond1 cup
- Scoop collagen peptide protein or unflavored protein powder1
- Dried fruit1 ¼ cups
- Coconut oil¼ cups + 1 tbsp
- Honey¼ cups
Instructions
- Add the turkey jerky to a food processor and process until it is powder-fine.
- Add the almonds, plus the protein powder if using, and pulse until chopped but not fine, so they keep some texture.
- Add the wet and sticky ingredients to the food processor and blend until it forms a thick, sticky, dough-like mixture. If needed, add a tablespoon of water and/or coconut oil while blending.
- Divide the dough evenly into silicone ice molds, or spread it in a small parchment-lined baking dish. Garnish the top with crushed nuts, dried fruit or seeds if you like.
- Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 3 hours. Then store in the fridge or freezer. Serve from the molds, or slice the pan into equal portions.
