- Chicken breast1 lb
- Smoked paprika4 tsp
- Garlic powder2 tsp
- Ranch dressing4 tbsp
- Buttermilk2 cups
- Flour1 cup
- Salt1 tsp
- Black pepper1 tsp
- Onion powder1 tsp
- Canola oil
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (180°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the chicken, 2 teaspoons smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, ranch seasoning and buttermilk. Toss to coat and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, salt, black pepper, onion powder, the remaining 2 teaspoons smoked paprika and 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
- Working in batches, lift the chicken from the buttermilk, coat it in the seasoned flour and shake off excess. For extra-crispy tenders, dip them back in buttermilk and coat in flour a second time.
- Arrange the tenders in the air fryer basket without overcrowding. Spray them evenly with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 15 minutes, until golden and crispy and the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Lightly dust with ranch seasoning before serving.
