Healthy Stir Fried Bok Choy (Tatsoi) at Home Vegan | How to Stir Fry Vegetables
Ingredients
- Avocado3 tbsp
- Garlic · sliced5 cloves
- Bok choy1 lb
- Soy sauce1 tbsp
- Oyster sauce1 tbsp
- Black pepper
- Cornstarch¼–½ tsp
Instructions
- Heat a large wok or skillet over medium heat and add the oil, swirling to coat. Add the sliced garlic and cook about 1 minute until light golden.
- Add the bok choy or other vegetables. Season with the soy sauce and vegetarian oyster sauce and stir well so they cook evenly. Cook 2 to 5 minutes depending on the vegetable; the thin bok choy in the video took about 3 minutes to stay crisp.
- Sprinkle with a pinch of black pepper. Move the vegetables to a serving plate, leaving the liquid in the wok.
- Mix the cornstarch with an equal amount of cold water. Bring the liquid in the wok to a boil, stir in the cornstarch slurry and keep stirring until thickened, then remove from heat.
- Pour the sauce over the vegetables and serve.
