Homemade Chocolate Granola Cereal with Almond Butter
Ingredients
- Oats4 cups
- Dark chocolate · powder⅓ cups
- Unsweetened cacao nibs⅓ cups
- Salt1 tsp
- Almond butter½ cups
- Maple syrup½ cups
- Olive oil¼ cups
- Dark chocolate chip½ cups
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients together.
- In another bowl, whisk the wet ingredients until smooth.
- Add the wet mixture to the dry and stir until every oat is coated.
- Line a large baking tray with parchment and spread the oats out in it.
- Bake for 20 to 22 minutes in total, stirring halfway through, then spread it back out and continue baking.
- When it smells well-toasted, let it cool on a rack or on the counter, still on the parchment.
- When the granola is nearly cool, about 10 minutes, stir in the chocolate chips. If it is too hot and melts them, wait before adding them. Let everything cool to room temperature; you can speed this by chilling the tray in the fridge for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 2 months at room temperature, or in the fridge for longer.
