Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Brush a small container with olive oil, then rest the store-bought dough in it, sealed, at room temperature for at least 4 hours.
  2. Shape the dough lightly on semolina, then stretch it to your desired shape without pressing the edges.
  3. Put the stretched dough on baking paper and sprinkle with salt.
  4. Spread a few tablespoons of crushed tomatoes over the base using the back of a spoon.
  5. Preheat the oven to its hottest setting. Bake on the bottom rack for 2 to 4 minutes, then remove the pizza and turn the oven off.
  6. Set the grill or broiler to its highest setting.
  7. Top the pizza with basil, mozzarella strips and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
  8. Broil until the cheese begins to melt, then turn the pizza and cook a few more minutes until cooked evenly. Let it cool before serving.
