Ingredients
- Pillsbury crescent dinner rolls1 packet
- Brie8 oz
- Jam¼ cups
- Egg1
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). If using a convection oven, reduce the temperature by 25°F (15°C).
- Gently unroll the crescent dough and press the seams and perforations together.
- Cut out 24 circles about 2½ inches wide, re-rolling the scraps as needed and dusting with flour if they stick.
- Press each circle into an ungreased mini muffin tin, against the bottom and up the sides.
- Put ½–1 teaspoon of Brie in each cup.
- Top each with ½ teaspoon of fruit preserves.
- Whisk the egg with 1–2 tablespoons of water or milk, then brush over the pastry. Use less liquid for a darker color.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the pastry is puffed, the cheese bubbles and the edges are lightly browned.
- Cool for 5 minutes in the pan, then move the tarts to a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
