How to Make Chicken Skewers | Grilled Chicken Kebab Recipe
Ingredients
- Spice rub
- Salt1 tsp
- Cumin · ground1 tsp
- Paprika½ tsp
- Turmeric¼ tsp
- Cinnamon¼ tsp
- Chili flake · crushed¼ tsp
- Chicken breast · boneless skinless2 lb
- Button mushroom12
- Bell pepper1
- Onion1
- Jalapeño chili2
Instructions
- Mix the spice rub ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
- Cut the chicken into 1-inch pieces to get about 36 cubes. Coat them with 3/4 of the spice mix and let them marinate while you prep the vegetables.
- Wipe the mushrooms clean, spray them lightly with oil and sprinkle with some of the remaining spice mix.
- Cut the bell pepper and onion into 8 pieces each, and cut each jalapeño into 4 thick rounds.
- Thread each skewer in this order: mushroom, bell pepper, 2 chicken cubes, jalapeño slice, 2 chicken cubes, onion. Don't pack them tightly, so the chicken cooks evenly. Make 8 skewers.
- Grill over a hot grill at 450-500°F, lid closed, for 6 minutes. Turn and grill another 3-4 minutes, lid closed, until the chicken is cooked through.
- Serve hot.
