How to make EASY HOMEMADE BREAD
Ingredients
- Yeast7 g
- Sugar70 g
- Bread flour650 g
- Milk32 g
- Salt9 g
- Butter60 g
- 1 tablespoon oil13 g
Instructions
- Mix the yeast with slightly warm water (100–110°F / 43°C) and 1 tablespoon of the sugar. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.
- Add the remaining sugar, milk powder, salt and bread flour, and mix until a dough ball forms.
- Knead on a lightly floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. In a stand mixer with the dough hook, knead for about 5–7 minutes instead.
- Knead in the oil and softened butter until fully incorporated.
- Cover and let the dough rise in a warm, draft-free place for 1–2 hours, until doubled.
- Deflate the dough gently, divide it into two equal portions and shape each into a tight loaf, tucking the edges under. Place seam-side down in greased loaf pans.
- Cover and let rise for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until the dough is just above the rim of the pans.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) when the dough has risen about 60% in the pan.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown. If the tops brown too fast, cover them loosely with aluminum foil.
- Remove from the pans and cool completely on a wire rack before slicing. Store in an airtight container.
