How to Make Flatbread Pizza | Hilah Cooking
Ingredients
- Flour5 ½ cups
- Baking powder1 ½ tsp
- Salt1 tsp
- Olive oil2 tbsp
- Milk½ cups
- Pesto½ cups
- Mozzarella cheese · grated2 cups
- Tomato · diced
Instructions
- Combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl, then work in the olive oil until you get some chunky bits.
- Make a well in the center, pour in the milk and mix.
- Knead for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 4 pieces and roll each into a thin shape, about 1/8 inch (half a centimeter) thick. Stretching the dough is fine if that is easier.
- Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high until a splash of water sizzles.
- Cook each flatbread for about 1 minute per side, until bubbly and browned. Place them on a baking sheet.
- Spread each flatbread with about 2 tablespoons of pesto, 1/2 cup of cheese and your chosen toppings.
- Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes, or broil for 3 minutes until the cheese melts and turns toasty.
