How to Make Stained Glass Cookies (Recipe) | OCHIKERON | Create Eat Happy :)
Ingredients
- Flour200 g
- Butter100 g
- Sugar60 g
- Salt1 pinch
- Egg · beaten½
- Vanilla1
- Candies of your choice
Instructions
- Beat the butter in a bowl with a whisk until creamy. Sift in the powdered sugar, add a pinch of salt and mix until smooth.
- Beat in the egg a little at a time, mixing well. Add the vanilla if you like.
- Sift in the flour and cut it in with a spatula until it forms one dough. Flatten the dough between plastic wrap into a sheet and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Cut out shapes while the dough is cold. If it becomes warm and soft, return it to the fridge until firm.
- Bake at 170°C (340°F) for 5 minutes. Let the cookies cool enough to handle, then place crushed candies in the cutouts (whole candies also work, but crushed ones fill more evenly when shapes vary).
- Bake again at 170°C (340°F) for 10 more minutes. Let cool until the candies are hard.
