How to Make Taco Bell Mexican Pizza! Hilah Cooking
Ingredients
- Taco Bell Sauce
- Tomato sauce8 oz
- Chili powder½ tsp
- Cumin · ground1 ½ tsp
- Black pepper¾ tsp
- Onion powder½ tsp
- Garlic · minced1 tsp
- Apple cider vinegar1 tbsp
- Pizzas
- Tortilla8
- Oil1 ½ cups
- Refried bean
Instructions
- Put all the sauce ingredients in a small pot and bring to a simmer.
- Simmer uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring now and then.
- Meanwhile, pour oil into a large skillet to a depth of about 1/2 inch and start heating it to 300°F.
- Stack the tortillas on a cutting board and prick each one 8 to 10 times with a knife tip, making small 1/4-inch slits. This keeps them from puffing and keeps them flatter.
- When the oil is hot, fry the tortillas one at a time for about 30 seconds per side, until golden. Drain on paper towels.
- Once all are fried, lay 4 on a baking sheet. On each, spread a couple of tablespoons of refried beans, then 1/4 cup taco meat, a tablespoon or two of sauce, and a tablespoon of cheese. Top each with another shell.
- Spoon 2 to 3 more tablespoons of sauce and cheese on top of each.
- Broil on low for a few seconds, until the cheese melts.
- Top with tomatoes and green onion, then add sour cream. Serve right away.
