Ice cream recipe without ice cream maker | Vanilla ice cream recipe
Ingredients
- Sweetened condensed milk1 can
- Cream2 cups
- Vanilla4 tsp
- Heavy cream1 ½ cups
- Sugar¾ cups
- Cornstarch2 tsp
- Milk¾ cups
Instructions
- Chill the cream, condensed milk, mixing bowl and beaters in the refrigerator for 12 to 24 hours, and freeze a metal tray or container overnight.
- Pour the chilled cream into the chilled bowl. Whip on low speed first, then increase to medium speed and whip to stiff peaks, about 7 to 8 minutes. Do not overwhip, or the cream can turn grainy.
- Pour the condensed milk and vanilla onto the whipped cream and fold gently so the cream does not deflate.
- Transfer to a freezer-safe container, press parchment paper or cling wrap onto the surface to push out trapped air, and freeze for 8 to 15 hours until set.
- If too hard to scoop, leave it on the counter for 5 to 6 minutes, then scoop and serve.
