- Garlic2
- Salt¼ tsp
- Black pepper0.13 tsp
- Lemon½ tbsp
Instructions
- Steam method: put a steamer basket or rack in a large stockpot, add 1 cup of water, and set the crab legs on the rack. Bring to a boil, cover, and steam until hot and steaming, 5 to 10 minutes (longer if frozen, less if thawed).
- Oven method: wrap 4 clusters in a foil pack without water, seal well, and bake on the center rack at 450°F for 25 minutes if frozen or 15 minutes if thawed. They are ready when the pack is steaming when opened.
- Grill method: make the same foil pack and grill over medium-high heat at 450°F for 15 minutes if frozen or 10 minutes if thawed. They are ready when the pack is steaming when opened.
- Instant Pot method: place a trivet and 1 cup of water in a 6-quart Instant Pot, add 3 to 4 clusters per batch (folding legs to fit), close the lid with the vent sealed, and cook on manual high pressure for 4 minutes. Then vent and quick release the remaining pressure.
- Dipping sauce: melt 4 tablespoons butter in a medium saucepan, add 2 minced garlic cloves, 1/4 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp black pepper, and stir for 30 seconds until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice. Divide between ramekins.
