Preparación
- Set a pot on high heat. Once hot, add the oil and beef. As the beef sears, add the paprika, The Fit Cook Everyday blend and The Fit Cook Land seasoning. Cook for about 3 minutes, until sear marks appear.
- Lower the heat to low-medium. When the pot has cooled slightly, add the garlic, onion and carrot. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes, until the onion is browned and translucent.
- Add the uncooked brown rice and stir constantly until every grain is toasted and coated in oil and seasoning.
- Pour in the broth, Worcestershire sauce and tomato sauce and stir. Add the lemon zest and bay leaves and stir.
- Bring to a light simmer, then cover and cook for 25 to 30 minutes, until the rice has absorbed most of the liquid.
- When the rice is nearly cooked, place the broccoli florets on top of the rice and cover halfway, cooking for the remaining time until excess liquid has evaporated.
- Once the rice is cooked, stir in the broccoli and remove from the heat.
- Garnish with parsley and serve.
