Make Easy Simple Poke Nachos Appetizer for your party! Everyone will Love It!
Ingredients
- Tortilla chips12 oz
- Tuna¾ lb
- Lime2 + 2 tsp + 1 tsp
- Avocado1
- Jalapeño chili2
- Cilantro¼ cups
- Soy sauce6 ½ tbsp
- Rice wine vinegar2 tsp
- Sesame oil3 ½ tsp
- Sugar3 tbsp
- Honey1 tbsp
- Maesil syrup2 tsp
- Mayonnaise½ cups
- Gochujang2 tsp
Instructions
- Cut the salmon and/or ahi tuna into cubes no bigger than 1/2 inch.
- Marinate the fish with soy sauce, rice vinegar and sesame oil, mix well, and refrigerate while you prepare the rest. Marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 2 days.
- Make the reduced sweet soy sauce: in a small pot, combine the soy sauce, water, sugar, lime juice, honey, sesame oil and maesil syrup. Bring to a boil, then lower to a simmer and reduce for about 15 minutes, watching so it does not boil over. Cool; it should be thick like syrup.
- Cut the avocado into cubes smaller than the fish. Chop the cilantro and slice the jalapeños thinly, removing seeds if you want less heat.
- In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, gochujang, water and lime juice to make a gochujang mayo.
- Spread the tortilla chips on a large platter (16 x 10 inches). Top with the fish, avocado, jalapeños and cilantro. Drizzle generously with the gochujang mayo and the sweet soy sauce.
